This course provides a foundational understanding of information systems (IS) and their critical role in modern organizations. Students will explore the interplay between technology, people, and processes. Key areas include systems theory, organizational processes, hardware/software, the Internet, databases, IT security, ethics, and the systems development lifecycle. The goal is to equip students with the ability to analyze how information systems solve business problems and create opportunities.
